Information

Now, countless elite and leisure athletes are jumping in the twists and turns of running. This may be a problem or an important step forward. Curved treadmills are great for those who want sidewalks or snow ditches, but they do have drawbacks. Running on a curved treadmill has some benefits that a rehabilitation therapist might want to explore, but there are also some limitations that must be addressed.

What is a curved treadmill?

The curved treadmill is a non-electric concave device that allows the user to walk and run on it every time they step on it, thereby pushing the seat belt behind them. The system is designed to use vertical and horizontal contours to pull the belt off the stride of walking or running, thereby eliminating the need for electric motors, which is a benefit for those who want to naturally discipline themselves. There are several systems on the market today, such as WOODWAY, TrueForm, Technogym and Assault all have curved non-motorized systems. All of them promised the same thing: a comfortable running experience, using curvilinear leg strokes to improve exercise results.

Treadmills have existed as an exercise option for many years and have been used in homes 100 years ago. It is important to know the differences between motorized treadmills and non-motorized treadmills and between flat and curved options. The "Sports Training Treadmill Buyer's Guide" covers instruments that meet the measurement needs, but does not mention curved treadmills because they are not research equipment. Some studies have been conducted to explore how curved treadmills can be used to test athletes, but they pay more attention to the reliability of condition testing than ground reaction forces or running mechanics.

How does the curved treadmill work?

The mechanical secret of bending treadmills lies in gravity, friction and the exploration of force during running. During the backward blow, the weight of the feet and body actually pulls the tread backwards and backwards, which occurs due to the curved shape of the device. The contact point is clearly in front of the center of mass. Therefore, compared with other non-motorized treadmill options or running on the ground, the support experience is different.

Although these differences cannot be seen with the naked eye, they are enough to help the vertical ground reaction force cause the body to sag slightly. Running on curves can help some athletes or fitness users reduce the pressure on the legs caused by the vertical ground reaction force. However, because of the unique design of curved treadmills, measuring force is a difficult process because the force plates are usually large and significantly flat.

The key to a good curved treadmill is the ball bearing or reducing the horizontal friction at the initial stage of the foot hit to reduce the ability to artificially change the firing method. The ideal situation is that the sooner and less friction in the sole strike process, the more the muscle firing pattern will improve, but there is a trade-off, because the braking phase is a necessary condition for propulsion. Technically speaking, at top speed, you hardly need to use horizontal force, because most speeds are generated by redirecting vertical force, but in driving motion, the hip joint uses horizontal force to the greatest extent. The debate about what is more important to speed has cooled, because recent research has clearly shown that to achieve sprint success, all three forces (lateral, lateral and longitudinal) must be balanced.

The logic and reasoning of the curve treadmill function

Curved treadmills are great for running at a constant speed, but they are terrible for acceleration. Since exercise is promotional in nature, only a few treadmills can really bring benefits to short sprints. The reason is simple: the nature of acceleration is to push thrust behind you when you lean, and the bodys nervous system is very wonderful to ensure that you will not fall on your face.

Some accelerated treadmills exist, but most are inclined options, using support bars and one of them-HiTrainer -uses chest support. There are some non-motorized treadmills, but they use tethers, subjecting them to artificial prejudice because athletes can literally use ropes to change their exercise strategy. Sometimes this is an excellent choice to use a light sled, because minimizing the air time can reduce excessive movement during acceleration. It also strengthens beyond the scope of need rather than unnecessary enhancements.

So, what is the reason for using a curved treadmill? I do see that green environmental protection is good for the environment. It also has fewer moving parts to be repaired, and anyone working in a gym or commercial gym knows the pain of dealing with repair services and angry customers. In addition to helping to protect the environment and its reliability, the curved treadmill also uses the strength of each step to create a more natural experience, because the constant speed belt in the electric option reduces the movement changes of some runners.
